The experience gained by Sime and its technicians, during the years, on projects carried out all over the world, allows to perform feasibility and risk analysis, front-end engineering design (FEED), cost estimates and economic studies.
Our engineers can be activated in a very short time and can reach any plant in any part of the world to execute preliminary surveys or reverse engineering activity.
In addition to the traditional survey methods, Sime is capable of applying also more advanced technologies (e.g. laser scanning) that allow shorter execution time and increase the reliability of this crucial job phase.

* Engineering & Project Development

Sime has a well consolidated experience to create and manage dedicated multidisciplinary teams in order to execute all the traditional phases of a plant design: from basic studies to detail engineering, through the production of all the necessary documents for the fabrication and installation.
Our competencies practically encompass all the engineering disciplines: process, machinery, piping and structures, electrical, instrumentation and control. The resources dedicated to the project are organized and continuously controlled by our project managers, assuring the respect of scheduled times and planned costs.

* Maintenance of Operating Plants

There is a set of activities by Sime that applies to plants already in operation: such a set encompasses the services of maintenance engineering and remote monitoring and diagnostics.
We can provide the setting and optimization of ordinary, routine and predictive maintenance plans, applying specific methodologies such as criticality and FMEA analyses, RBD and Montecarlo tests.
Our expertise teams are available to join and support Customers in specific analyses to eliminate criticalities (repetitive failures, lacks of reliability) and to increase the plant profitability, optimizing maintenance costs and increasing availability.
Moreover, we have personnel located in our Customer facilities to carry out remote plant monitoring, troubleshooting, first and second level technical assistance. A specialized team in field test engineering, field test performance and on-site troubleshooting completes our capabilities in this segment of application.
