Historical Milestones

1989-1991

Establish in Rosignano Solvay, focusing on electrical-instrumentation engineering services for clients like Solvay and Nuovo Pignone. In the 1991, expanded services to include mechanical engineering; implemented comprehensive management and quality systems.

1999

Initiated international expansion by establishing SimeROM in Romania to enhance workload capacity. Opened a new site in San Giuliano Milanese near Milan to diversify clientele and enter the multidisciplinary engineering market for major contractors in the Oil & Gas sector, both onshore and offshore.

2005

Process Engineering teams in Rosignano Solvay and Milan; established a department dedicated to innovative solutions for industrial plants and auxiliaries. In 2006, entered cooperation agreements with other General Electric suppliers, becoming their leader.

2015

In 2007, signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with Belcan Corporation, a leading engineering and technical services company and primary supplier of engineering services and consultancy to General Electric. Together, Sime and Belcan formed a Supercenter (Belcan-Sime), with Sime serving as the representative for the entire European area concerning GE Infrastructures. In the 2017 Sime has opened its Workshop in Rosignano Solvay

2019

GI&E srl became part of the Sime group of companies. GI&E is a manufacturer for Reciprocating Compressors and Auxiliary Skids based in Porto Recanati.

At present – Today, Sime Group of Companies is oriented not only to the Engineering segment but also to the Procurement, Construction / Construction Management activities for general industrial plants and auxiliaries.
