Fuel Gas Skids & BMS

Fuel Gas Systems

Fuel gas systems provide gas fuel (such as natural gas, propane, or biogas) to combustion devices, normally burners.

They are designed to condition the gas, control the pressure and provide all safety functions (monitoring and shut-down) to deliver the fuel gas at the right pressure, temperature and flow rate to burners.

We offer standard and custom designs systems to meet your specifications.  Our systems are built modular, skid mounted, with instrumentation and controls for local or remote operation.

Safety

Safety systems includes pressure control valves, redundant tight shut-off  valves, pressure monitoring, alarm systems, and emergency shutdown capabilities. All systems can be designed and assembled to the requested Safety Level (up to SIL 3)

From process and mechanical engineering to fabrication yards, our integrated approach ensures seamless project execution and innovative solutions.

Precision

Fuel gas systems are designed to supply a specific volume and pressure of fuel gas to connected appliances and equipment.

Dehydration, solid element filtration and heating of the gas is also normally provided before control systems itself.

Reliability

Strategies to enhance reliability include:

Redundant Systems: parallel components ensures a continuous fuel supply even in case of a failure
Improved Maintenance:
A proactive approach to detecting defects and forecasting potential failures improves the overall continuity of the gas distribution system

Gas Treatment

Gas Treatment is a process by which raw and natural gas is prepared to meet specific quality standards for specific purposes and transportation.

Gas Conditioning involves a range of processes and this depends on the composition of gas and specific quality requirements.

The following are a few common techniques that are used in gas conditioning:

  • Dehydration: Water vapor is removed from the gas by absorption, adsorption or condensation
  • Acid Gas Removal: This process involves removing acid gases such as hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide
  • Compression and Filtration: This process helps in compressing the gas to the required pressure and filters out any solids or liquids present

BURNER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (BMS)

A Burner Management System is a PLC based control system used for ensuring safe startup, control and monitoring of temperature, and shutdown of a Fired Heater by controlling its Fuel Gas System and its burners. BMS managed functions can include interlocks, trips, flame monitoring, ignition systems, purge sequence activation. Burner management systems are often referred to as BMS
