  • A high-level solution proposed, discussed and shared with Customer
  • Definition of the best team of specialists dedicated to the solution development
  • A consistent planning of all the activities.
  • An efficient management and control of all the job phases.

The every-day application of such a routine, of all levels and skills, is considered the key for the continuity of opportunities and for a natural growth of business.

The extension of the range of our activities is supported by our intention to be close to our Clients. Such an approach allows for an optimum job development, a better comprehension and communication with the field and a very fast response to Customer needs.

The heart of Sime is represented by the competencies and professionalism of its personnel, which consists of more than 300 employees. Special attention is given to personnel preparation, which is strengthened by means of specific professional trainings and through the integration with specialized teams of experts.

The professionalism of our resources, and their growth, are continuously measured and monitored by Sime Quality Assurance, because they represent the foundations for the Customer satisfaction and therefore for Sime’s success.

Our History

  • 1989

    Sime was established in Rosignano Solvay (Tuscany-Italy). Initially, it was a technical engineering office whose activity was mainly related to electrical-instrumentation detail engineering services, first for the Solvay company, in Rosignano, and then also for Nuovo Pignone, in Florence.

  • 1991

    In two years' time, along with the electrical-instrumentation engineering, Sime started to provide services for mechanical engineering too, and soon became aware of the need to develop a management system and a quality system, that have been finally implemented.

  • 1999

    Ten years after its establishment, Sime was sufficiently organized to expand and satisfy many different Customers, therefore, Sime made two crucial and qualifying decisions:

    • Internationalization: by opening a new site in Romania and founding SimeROM,  whose purpose was to increase workloads reducing production costs;
    • Diversification of its customers through the opening of a new site in S. Giuliano Milanese, near Milano, with the purpose to enter the market of poly-disciplinary engineering for main contractors and develop projects in the Oil & Gas area, both onshore and offshore.
  • 2005 / 2007

    Sime grown, from a qualitative and a quantitative point of view, by creating a Process Engineering team in Rosignano Solvay and in Milan.

    In addition, has been created a department devoted to the development of new business and solutions with high content of innovation and technology in the panorama of industrial plants and auxiliaries.

    In the meantime, in 2006, Sime made cooperation agreements with other General Electric suppliers, becoming their leader. In 2007, Sime signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with Belcan Corporation, a broad spectrum engineering and technical services company and main supplier of engineering services and consultancies of General Electric. Sime and Belcan constituted a Supercenter (Belcan-Sime) in which Sime plays the role of the Supercenter representative for the whole European Area with interests in GE Infrastructures.

  • 2015

    In 2015, Sime created a specific department dedicated to the supply of modularized unit and process skids.

    Thus combining the engineering skills developed over the years, from the process to detail engineering, to the construction part, providing highly engineered solutions in line with customer's needs and projects constrains.

  • At Present

    Today, Sime Group of Companies is oriented not only to the Engineering segment but also to the Procurement, Construction / Construction Management activities for general industrial plants and auxiliaries.

    These services are provided to customers through Sime's companies in Italy and Romania, as well as by our offices in France and the UAE.

    In 2019, GI&E srl became part of the Sime group of companies. GI&E is a manufacturer for Reciprocating Compressors and Auxiliary Skids based in Porto Recanati
