GI&E, based in the 37,000 sqm – manufacturing site of Porto Recanati (located 25 km far from the Ancona harbor) has been a private company working in the Energy sector since early 2000.
In 2019, SIME, an engineering company active for more than 30 years in the oil and gas field, acquired the GI&E business unit related to the production and packaging of Reciprocating Compressors.
Thanks to this acquisition, GI&E now can offer a wide range of services from Engineering to Manufacturing. In addition to the production site in Porto Recanati, the Company has Engineering offices in Firenze and Pistoia, and a Commercial hub in Milano.
At GI&E, the whole team is focused on making Energy more innovative, flexible and cleaner, thanks to competitive solutions, agility, experience and a strong commitment to the Environment.
GI&E core activities are relevant to the production of packaged solutions for Reciprocating Compressors and Auxiliary Skids, for Oil & Gas, Natural Gas and Technical Gas application fields, covering the standards required by the market, including API618; in particular, GI&E is able to:
- Design and Manufacture Vertical Reciprocating Compressor up to 1 MW
- Assembly and Package Large Horizontal Reciprocating Compressor
GI&E also provide specific services as:
- After sales, a strategic service to support the Customer worldwide through the entire product lifecycle;
- Engineering, from Machinery Selection and package Design till the Conversion, Modification & Upgrade Engineering;
- Production in-house capabilities, a wide range of Manufacturing and Testing Services available at the GI&E Porto Recanati site.
Thanks to the mix of engineering and manufacturing skills, acquired through decades of work in the energy and oil and gas sector, GI&E manages to support the customer through an industrial model that focuses on technical competence, associated with agility and management flexibility.
GI&E has more than 50 employees with a strong experience in the Energy and Engineering field, 4 sites in Italy and more than 800 vertical reciprocating compressors installed and operated worldwide.
